Frequently asked questions
You do not need a GP referral to book an appointment.
I’m currently online, but hoping to offer in-person appointments soon. You will receive a meeting link when your appointment is confirmed, which will include instructions on how to join the session.
My focus is on sustainable, flexible guidance. You may purchase a personalised meal plan if you feel that this would benefit you, charged at £50. You may find this useful for weight management or sports and exercise nutrition.
I work with clients who are trying to lose weight (weight management), eat more healthily or improve their health. I work with clients with many specific, diagnosed clinical conditions, including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia (high cholesterol), irritable bowel syndrome, coeliac disease, nutrition during pregnancy. I may refer some clients on to specialist dietitians in the local area for conditions such as cancer.
I can work with both power and endurance type athletes. As an endurance runner I have some first-hand experience! These sessions focus on fueling for training and competition, hydration, and recovery. Sessions can include advice on race/match day preparation and fueling/hydration strategies.
I am regulated by the Health and Care professionals council. I am registered as a dietitian in the United Kingdom. You can find me on their “check the register” webpage. I am also a member of the British Dietetic Association.
Most clients benefit from an initial appointment followed by one or two follow up appointments. Many are able to self-manage after the initial appointment so you may not require follow ups. You are always welcome to book a follow up a few months after your initial appointment if you feel you need additional support.
